Genealogy Interest GroupTree

All SeniorNet members are welcome to attend the Genealogy Interest Group, which each month will follow on from a Workshop on a topic of Genealogy (family history and recording).

People will have the opportunity to just talk freely about an interest of theirs and maybe do something with what information they have - for example, write a story about someone or something or some event and include photos - rather than just leaving their information in a drawer or cupboard.  The story could be written with a word processor or more formally produced within a standard Genealogy programme.

They are also encouraged to 'show and tell' their historic memorobilia.

The Open Discussion Time is open to anyone who wants to come just for it and not the Workshop and we will defer the morning tea from the workshop time period to the discussion time.

The group meets on the fourth Monday of each month in the Boilerhouse Resource Centre from 11.15am onwards. Tea and coffee are provided but BYO lunch.

The conveners are Doreen Hayward and Pat Berlin

NEXT MEETING: Monday 26th October 2015
